Eva serves as a Clinical Research Coordinator at Wellstar Health System in the metro Atlanta area, working on clinical trials involving traumatic injuries and cardiology. She earned her bachelor's in microbiology from Clemson University in 2023 where she graduated with Honors and Summa Cum Laude. She went on to earn a Master of Public Health in Epidemiology with a certificate in Infectious Disease Epidemiology from Emory's Rollins School of Public Health in Atlanta in 2026. At Clemson, Eva worked for Greenville Memorial Hospital's Addiction Medicine Center on both the clinical and research teams. She worked on a clinical trial evaluating the drug Sublocade, an injectable medication that helps people recover from addiction to opioids like heroine, fentanyl, and oxycodone. She also worked closely with social workers to connect overdose patients with recovery housing, Medicaid assistance, and harm reduction resources.

While at Emory, Eva’s research involved interviewing pregnant and postpartum women navigating substance abuse, housing insecurity, incarceration, and domestic violence to provide state legislation recommendations and resource assistance initiatives. She also worked on a clinical trial evaluating a healthcare app for gay and bisexual men at risk for HIV in rural areas of the United States to help them access healthcare and educational resources. Eva’s experiences give her an understanding of how to effectively help and advocate for people in marginalized, stigmatized, and underserved communities. She brings this perspective to Crumb Bums Ministries as their Public Health Expert on the Board of Directors.
